Kivisalo – by the waters, in the middle of forests

Kivisalo is located in Riistavesi, countryside of Kuopio. It has it´s own headland, next to Saravesi. Kipasalo which is also part of the estate is watered by Riistavesi and is located in Hiidensalmi, just next to a boat route.

The landscape is a mosaic of waters and forests. The area is sparsely populated but the houses are located in regular distances from each other.

The closest population centre is Melalahti in Riistavesi which is 15 km away. The closest railway connection is in Kuopio. Buses drive regularly from Kuopio to Melalahti and the bus ride takes circa 30 minutes. Timetables, (place of departure Kuopio, destination Melalahti). When the schools are open there is also a possibility to get from/ to the farm by a public transportation once a day.
